CARSON CHRISTIAN
OUTREACH APOSTOLIC CHURCH

A poem written by our very own Pastor Thomas Alexander, Sr.
May 2026
We often think at times like this
About our church’s history!
And praise God as we celebrate
“Another Anniversary”.
But when Church years reach forty-five
And School years number forty-three
Perhaps it’s time to think, and share,
Our thoughts about our legacy!
God’s also graced, for twenty years,
That we should serve Communities
With food and clothing, and God’s blessed
That we should manage Properties!
Four Ministries, - through many years
God’s stewardship on us He laid.
We trust some day to give account -
To stand before God, unafraid.
To think beyond "what hath God wrought?”
Or, “Ministries must remain alive”,
Of “good things God’s begun in us”
Our quest is ever - “may they thrive!”
Luke 22, verse thirty-six
Presents the wisdom of the Lord
Who bade disciples, ill-prepared,
To sell a coat and buy a sword!
God calls for those like Moses, who
Held faith through Pharoah’s cruel domain.
Yet learning Egypt’s wisdom there
Used both, God's victories to obtain.
We pray God’s love be always shown
Through labor “to the least of these..”
That “debt-free” buildings never fall
Into the hands of mortgagees.
That “daily in the temple”, youth
Hear precious truths, by most denied.
In church - the message ever be
One Saviour, and Him crucified!
As James and John, gently rebuked,
With tender words, by One who cared…
They learned - “it is not mine to give -
But for “the one’s” God has prepared!”
