On behalf of the CCOC family, thank you for being a part of this milestone celebration! As we look back over the years, we've revisited so many memories, so many moments, and the many many people that have been a part of this journey and the faithfulness in this ministry. From the many members and dedicated families of Carson Christian Outreach Apostolic Church over the years, to those we've fellowshipped wit h and served in our community, to our sisters and brothers in Christ within the PAW, CCDC, and organizations of the like! Truly God has been good to us!

Join us in a trip down memory lane with us, by looking back over the years of CCOC...

As We Look Back Over the Years...

Years: 1981 - 1985
The Lord blessed us to spot a store-front on E. Carson Street when property was cheap! Our first church building
was only $26,000. With just our family, the Lord started saving souls. We met a soul winner by the name of Bro.
Munger, bought two large buses, and we canvassed the area, passing out flower seeds & chewing gum, and our Sunday
School reached 128 souls. One day a 7 year old boy got hit by a car getting off of our Sunday School bus, but we prayed
fervently and the Lord miraculously healed him, and he was baptized in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost, his
mother was baptized, in Jesus’ Name and filled with the Holy Ghost, and so were three of his cousins and his aunt!
What the devil meant for evil, God turned it around for their good!
Then in 1983, the Lord led Pastor Alexander to start Carson Christian School. To God be the glory for healing Sister
Alexander of Lupus Erythematosus, and she has been in excellent health ever since, even working out doing kick boxing,
Pilates, and step aerobics!

Years: 1986 - 1991
We had a portable sign that moved with us wherever we went! When the city forced us to move, the Lord was with
us and we never missed a day of church or school! Jesus said in Revelation 3:8, “Behold, I have set before you and open
door that no man can shut”. Then we spotted a vacant lot on 186 th Street that, upon investigation, was not owned by
the organization whose name was on the sign! Instead, it was owned by a private party, and he agreed to sell it to us for
a very reasonable price.

Years: 1992 - 1996
“Care Prison Ministries” was launched by Elder Glen Webb and scores of souls were baptized in Jesus’ Name and
filled with the Holy Ghost. Some nights he held all night “Preach-A-Thons” with Robert Douglas as the main speaker.

We got wind that one of the church buildings that had we rented on Santa Fe Avenue was scheduled for
demolition. We put in a bid for it and the Lord blessed us to purchase it for $2,000.00, moved it on to our vacant lot, and
finally, we had a church building of our own. Then He blessed us to find an appropriate school facility, and we bought it
for our Christian School. Many students were baptized and filled, too numerous to mention. Pastor nicknamed it,
“Ebenezer”, for hitherto hath the Lord helped us! (The REAL Lord!)

Years: 1997 - 2001
We built an “addition” onto “Ebenezer”, increasing its value. Then we went on another church hunt. When
Anschutz Entertainment wanted to purchase property on 186 th Street, we found another vacant lot on Central Avenue.

Years: 2002 - 2006
In the meantime, the Lord blessed us to get accredited by Western Association of Schools and Colleges, approved by the Food Bank of Long Beach, and a relationship with Palos Verdes Post Office to Stamp Out Hunger, increasing our ability to serve the needy.

Years: 2007 - 2011

Pastor Thomas M. Alexander was blessed to retire after 45 Years with the Los Angeles County Department of Public
Works, receiving a retirement pension for the rest of his life. This was an enormous blessing, causing him not to be a
burden to the church, but a blessing!

Years: 2012 - 2016
As the Lord would have it, another church building, the Harbor Community Church was scheduled for demolition, which the city gave us free of charge if we would move it! The Lord blessed us to move it seamlessly to where it stands today!

Years: 2017 - 2021
The City of Carson bought “Ebenezer” from us, enabling us to burn our Mortgage on Central Avenue and become
“debt-free”.
He blessed us to develop a relationship with Re-employability for multiple “Volunteer Workers” where their own
companies pay for them to work for us!

Years: 2022 - 2026+
We are building and developing ministry plans, with the help of the Lord through Pastor Alexander’s 4 Ministry
Teams consisting of Church, School, Community Ministries, and Property Management because we’re building on the
“ROCK”, Christ Jesus!
